This study examines the phenomenon of the non-mixing of two seas from the perspective of Qur’anic verses and compares it with scientific findings. The article first provides an overview of the cosmic order governing the universe and then analyzes one of its remarkable manifestations—the phenomenon of the incomplete mixing of two bodies of water. In the first part, using an exegetical approach, the relevant Qur’anic verses are examined, and key concepts such as barzakh (barrier), ḥājiz (partition), and others are elucidated. The second part is devoted to the scientific analysis of this phenomenon, exploring the physical, chemical, and oceanographic factors that prevent the complete mixing of seawater masses with differing properties. The findings indicate that the Qur’an, through precise lexical choices such as barzakh and ḥājiz, not only provides an artistic and rhetorical expression but also alludes to a scientific reality fully recognized today in oceanography. This study exemplifies the harmony between Qur’anic teachings and contemporary scientific discoveries, reinforcing the interaction and synergy between science and religion and offering a deeper understanding of the divine order governing the natural world.
