Abstract:   (1235 Views)
This article seeks to examine human nature as a fundamental feature in the subject of anthropology from the perspective of the Islamic school and contemporary scholar, Hakim Āyatollah Shāhābādi, known as the philosopher of nature, with a descriptive and interpretive method. The research indicates that the root of many crises of epistemology, ethics and materialism throughout the history of human life is caused by the crisis of identity, which is also due to the lack of recognition of man's authentic and real self. Therefore, one of the most basic solutions to solve the aforementioned crisis is the fundamental and comprehensive understanding of human beings with their developmental characteristics. The findings of this research demonstrate that man is the most complex and supreme creation of Allah the Almighty and has a personality composed of two characteristics and developmental goals, worldly realm (animal) and spiritual realm (non-animal). The feature of the divine nature constitutes the inherent and monotheistic identity of man, which is mentioned in Quranic verses and narratives as Ḥanīf religion, Islam, knowledge of Allah and Tawḥīd (monotheism), and according to the interpretation of Hakim Shahabadi, man is created by divine nature, which is one of the essentials of his understanding existence, and his truth is knowledge and love for absolute perfection, that is, Allah, Glory be to Him. According to the verse “nature” and Āyatollah Shāhābādi's interpretation, human nature has characteristics such as universal, all the time, non-acquired (forced and unconscious), fixed, unchangeable and innocuous from mistakes. Based on this, nature plays the role and position of the ultimate purpose of real human growth and perfection. Therefore, it has innate and absolute value and desirability for him, and if a person, with the help of the teachings of the divine prophets, consciously and voluntarily turns his attention towards it and removes the veils of his material and animal dimension, his monotheistic self will flourish and enjoy an authentic and divine identity, which in fact will be the position of closeness to Allah the Almighty, the paradise of happiness and the truth of his perfection.
